Ladies' garments have changed and have experienced an ocean of changes throughout the long term. One can easily understand it by going through magazines related to apparel and designs. Different times called for a different style of clothing. How trends are determined is not very clear. In order to gain a piece of much better knowledge about how women dress, the history of women's clothing must be studied.

All throughout the biblical year’s women dressed in garments that went down to their knees. In the 1700s, women from this era wore petticoats that were worn to facilitate the skirts to open like a flower in bloom. In the 1900s the styles which influenced women's clothing is still visible. In this era day, dresses made of cotton liner were in use which was heavily laced and was during warm weather. Tailored clothing also made an entry, which looked like a men's shirt and was worn during work as a uniform. Ladies of these years favored straight outlines with extremely insignificant bust, midriff, and hips.

In the 1920s fashion got really modernized. The women folk became less conservative and slightly more boyish. The1950s was characterized as the year of the poodle skirt. Another type of shorts which were narrow and quite sexy was loved by women. Fashion trends gained momentum during the 1960s.

The1980s were the most diverse women of these supported the new wave fashion consisting of leggings and jackets?
